How about instant-spawn and rockets only? That's how I like to play. It's quite chaotic. Of course I don't know how to turn on instant spawn without cheats being enabled. |

Seems it will be not so good to play with around 120+ ping on the cup if not for me then for others vs whom I might play :] I've just played on bball iT and it was some nice experience, 120 is playable for me. Thanks to eXtine for the heads up in his weekly show. Hope that will be fun. And I also hope that one day there will be 60-70 ping between two continents, eu and us cause bball rocks :D As far as I know bball was started in us (and map was done in us too) so this game between two brave soldiers must go on, just that ;] I've played one or two times against very nice guy, seems his nick was sniper or so (maybe you know him), hope to see him and other nice skilled soldiers playing.
Is that a sm plugin or just some cvars? Can you describe your setup more concrete please? Does mp_respawnwavetime have an influence on time gap after spawn when you can actually shoot? Maybe that can be implemented on some old eu bball server (SpA bball). Greetz from Russia! |

sup :p youre talking about Sniper w/o Ammo. he hasnt played bball in awhile tho! It would be really nice if EU switched to the good rules. really really nice.
the cvars are:
with this setup mp_respawnwavetime doesnt have any effect I like NA rules a lot better because its faster paced, breeds better soldiers. |

we're thinking around feb 25th for the tourney to begin... maybe the start of march registrations will start soon btw prize pools might be lowered a bit, having some issues with one of the donations (swifts is still coming but other one might not) still will be over 100 dollars though. Yeah! That's w/o the Ammo guy, I finally saw at that time some interesting jumps after many boring games without any action (like many eu guys do) Was really great fun for me trying to block while standing on ground :D Bro, thanks for that plugin, now I can try that on my own server (meh, tried it and it's working really good) and then ask SpA representative to implement that (done that too, hope we'll see changes soon). Although I've finally got all information about respawn waves in tf and that's damn great :] Eagerly awaiting good bball games. Best wishes to all participants :) |

not the composition, that's good. it just looks like the words/everything besides the bball has a translucent black layer over it making it difficult to see and unsettling to the eye. i mean i get the idea of a shining bball, but poor execution. maybe it's a mistake idk #jussayin ^^ |

Played a bit more with 2ms rules and got some thoughts about it. That's just imo, nothing more or less ;] What means a lot in bball for default respawn times:
I know that every game can have slow dynamics even with real fast respawn (depending on enemies that are shooting from respawn line for some mins, moving to center, falling back, shooting again etc etc). Was the goal to have fast-paced games, giving good jumpers a bit more air? I like it cause it means a lot of improvements for jumps (at least for me :] ) But jumps aren't easy things to learn, so bros willing to win must do really good jumps. Because even after killing your enemies you must kill at least one of them again before capping (if your jumps are not so good and enemy is killing you every time you're jumping when enemy/ies are alive). So team of two can be even splitted in one jumping and one making a good brawl. Amirite and teams with better jumps will win in most cases? ;] |
