Then why don't you just make it so if your account isn't linked to a steam account they can't create threads? That will most likely deter quite a few people from going through the process just to post on alt accounts.

Gotta say, though, alts do serve a purpose. When disclosing sensitive info, it's better to do so through an alt. Otherwise, everybody might hate you.
