Um, there is a registration table I believe and you must check in and like a wrist band or something or like those cards you hang on your neck.

You can just bring the PDF receipt with you. You'll receive more instructions via email closer to the event. If you forget it, it's not a big deal -- just make sure that you have some form of photo ID on you. Given that you're traveling between countries, I'm sure that you will :-)

What do I need to have to get into the event?

You must have a signed waiver of responsibility (available on www.pittco.org). If you are 18 or older, you must have a valid photographic identification card (driver’s license, college ID, military ID), the registration number contained in your confirmation email, or the confirmation email itself. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign your waiver. The parent or guardian need not be present at registration.

Please print your name as clearly as possible on the waiver of responsibility so that our check-in staff can process your waiver as swiftly as possible. Pittco staff will not allow attendees to pass the check-in table having turned in a signed waiver. There are no exceptions to this rule. Pittco staff will not accept a vocal or digital acceptance of the waiver.

-Taken from the FAQS.

If you didn't get a receipt with your order number email Colin and he will send you one as he did for me. cdean at pittco dot org

Going to stir up like an information post etc when i have time today or whenever.

Novice and I will be driving from NYC, we can fit 1-2 more in the car for anyone who needs a ride in the area. Add me :)

We also might need to split hotel with 1-2 people if anyone's down.

Lan tournaments and team registration

They will be giving away CS:GO keys for whoever signs up and plays in the tournament. I made a team at

for everyone who wants one to join.

Schedule(I think someone is currently trying to get the tf2 tournament moved back).

Writing a statement when I get a chance, please leave times of when you will possibly arrive because I know I'll be there around 8pm the latest. Your concerns and questions too but most of it should have been answered already.

I will be linking this thread definitely!

Radium's carpool will prob leave MD at like 5pm be there at like 9-10pm at the fastest.
I'd personally would prefer it to be on Sat if they are able to switch less popular tournaments around or make space for it.

SteveC, if you're coming with me I may/may not have space for just one more depending on how much shit we bring. I don't want to break someone's computer by jamming it between random shit, and a cramped 5-hour hatchback ride is not fun (a convertible, on the other hand, is different).

I'll talk with you more over PM.

Novice and I will be taking WaffleB. If someone else around NY needs a ride, we can take one more but it'll be a tight fit.

We also need 2 more to split hotel, add me. :)

I'm trying to get there with 2 buddies (one plays tf2), but we probably wouldn't be able to carpool or split hotels (we'd also have friends to crash with in Pitt).

What are the relevant registrations and sign-ups? Will there be a tf2 tourney, or just like, pugs and shit?

There you go Vick. There will probably be pugging whenever people aren't playing in the other tournaments I suppose. Lot's of people are registering for CS;GO because you get a beta key.

Looks like me and two friends will be going. Are people already setting up teams for the tourney? Me and both of my friends want to play. One has a little experience on roamer and the other is just a pubber.

Looking for one person who hasn't bought their ticket yet and wants to save seven dollars by buying in a group. Already have four out of the five needed people.

I'd buy all the tickets online and then you could pay me back at LAN.

This is wonderful news, Jesse.

I've passed it on to our operations group -- they're stepping up the announcement of the details and seeing if we can modify the schedule. I can't make any promises, but we'll see what we can do!

I'll hopefully have something for you tomorrow or Thursday. I've CC'd Jordan, who is running the TF2 tournament and is the man to talk to if you have any comments, questions, requests, etc.

Just a heads up and reminder as teams are forming and people are deciding to go, you must register your teams at http://lan.pittco.org/tournaments.php.

Just a heads up.

Hey guys! Pittco is seriously totally stoked to have a group of folks coming to IS13 to play TF2. It's one of my personal favorites (big TFC guy back in the day) and one which is more than due for a great turnout at one of our events!

Feel free to ask me any questions by email (I saw my address floating around in the thread) or on the Iron Storm PC tournaments forum. You can ask here, too, but I don't want to threadjack your planning thread!

We should hopefully have details on the TF2 tournament up on our site soon.

Edit: Oh, and who hasn't registered yet? We're just a few short of 50% full and we generally get a HUGE bump in the last two weeks. We had 25 registrations in the past three days!

Ninja edit, 2012-04-04 22:29: I saw someone ask about door price. It's $45 cash/credit at the door. Obviously it's better if you pre-register, that way you can not only dominate the TF2 tournament, but you can also try your hand at CS:GO and give us a better idea of how many are coming!
