There's been some discussion about going back to the old formats for the weekly Open and IM articles that Deathanchor & DJC write, where they would write Power Rankings instead of predictions for some of the matches. The main reason is the feeling that a Power Rankings is a bit more pure an assessment, since it isn't impacted by maps / sudden roster issues, etc.

The change back isn't set in stone yet, so I figured I'd ask you guys what you prefer - preds of some of the matches/teams, or a Power Rankings article.

This would just be for Open & IM - Invite would still have full predictions for every match and a rankings at the bottom.

Every team has their good and bad maps, and I like how writers have to take that into consideration when writing preds. It also lets you go in-depth into MotWs, which I think is important. Power rankings are cool, but I think predictions are better.

I have to agree with sakura for the most part. But maybe could we have a quick run-through of the top eight teams (gossip, roster changes, etc) at the end of each prediction. In other words, could we just try some different formats or addons to the original prediction write-up? You know, add some zing outside the prediction part.

On the other hand, maybe consider doing a mid-season and pre-playoffs assessment article with rankings (in addition or in lieu of the predictions). I think that would be helpful for most teams in all divisions.

The open predictions are hilariously vague and generic anyway, don't really care what format they are in.

Power rankings are better imo. Predictions are good too except a lot of times they're not very accurate however they are well written. Maybe in the power rankings just mention the upcoming matches and what you think the outcome will be. I wouldn't mind writing some stuff up if given a chance, if any of you guys ever need help just add me on steam I think i'd enjoy it.

Just keep letting djc do his thing, I see no reason to change it at all.

i like the power rankings better, but then again then would probably be the same shit as what's written now since the person who writes the open preds is really vague and doesn't know anything about any of the teams.

Did you guys all decide to punish death anchors preds for being vague by being too vague to say his name as the writer of said preds

If so that is a genius meta-commentary
