No, it's not a choice
I know its hard to understand how you can be attracted to a completely different gender, which is why that question is asked so much but it's pretty easy to explain.

Its sort of like how people are into certain women.
There are people that only like skinny girls, blond girls, fat girls etc
It's pretty much the same thing except the other way around

I had the chance to date an amaaaaazing girl, cute as hell, smart as hell too. She taught herself Japanese when she was 10. But I just wasn't attracted to her. You can see all the features and identify if a girl is good looking or whatever but that "wow" feeling and attraction isn't there.

Ultimately it ends up feeling like you are looking at your sibling, you can tell they aren't ugly but there is no attraction...unless you are into that sort of thing or something :c

I'm bi, which is something I don't normally tell people unless it comes up or I have to. However, I felt like posting that here because it's become apparent that a lot of people (not necessarily on this site) don't actually think bisexuals exist.

Even among the gay community there are people who think that they're either in denial or attention whores. Don't get me wrong; plenty of people who claim to be bi do fit those descriptions, but that doesn't mean everyone does or even a majority do.

Anyway I'm always open to talk if anyone wants to add me on steam.
