i think there was already a thread like this a while ago, but...
how the hell do i relax?
for the past week or so my muscles have just felt tense, everything pisses me off, all i want to do is go to sleep and even when i do go lay down i dont even feel relaxed then.

i was looking into meditation but that seems like a big step to make at first, i imagine i would get into it for 5 minutes before starting to think "this is stupid".

i dont drink often and i smoke tobacco rarely. my sex life is regular. id say my diet is pretty standard, and in general im of average physical health.

also music doesnt help because a) i get upset that not enough people will ever understand the same great musical beauty as i, or b) i strongly disagree with the music and its fanbase.

it is incredibly difficult, but if you stop caring about stuff that you don't need to care about to survive then you'll be a lot better off, at least until you can stay relaxed for long periods of time.

Is your muscular contraction from stress or anxiety? If you're tightened up because your stressed then sometimes the best thing you can do is beat the shit out of something to allow some emotional energy to release.

I have no idea how to deal with long-term anxiety.

Try having a drink or two if you do drink. Otherwise try a sleeping pill for a night and see how you feel. They worked wonders for me. Also how much caffeine do you consume daily? Any anxiety with the tensed feeling?
