Slomo is pretty good - no ads or previews that I saw in others.

Definitely a good show, but I think it's too early to be quite amazing yet.
The art is quite nice though.
Also it's clear that the Aman villain-guy just accidentally ran into the giant island turtle that teaches mind-bending. It really bothers me how he says all this stuff about how bad bending makes things and all the "good guys" do is say "Oh you're evil and crazy!". Why? What makes him so crazy and evil. Why is he even wrong? I am sure this will develop into a plot point of the avatar wrestling with whether bending really is bad or not but it's pretty boring for now.

Don't be mad at me.

I kind of agree with moolkey. Honestly, it seems kind of like a straight up X-Men rip off right now.

I loved The Last Airbender, and this series so far is amazing. I loved all the characters and the ending to TLA, I hope they make TLK just as long. Watched all the episodes, I just want to know about Zuko's mom, what happened to Zuko anyways, and how everybody but Katara died. I wonder if they became teachers or anybody else left their mark like Toph did, introducing Metalbending. I really want to know how Katara's secret Bloodbending ability will come into play, she DID say she would never use it for evil. Will it be taught to Korra? SUSPENSE.

The contrasts to the descendants of the characters of The Last Airbender just makes me love them even more. Tenzin is a strict, by the book guy, Aang was a free-flowing, do what works for the best type character. Beifong isn't sarcastic but dead serious, much unlike Toph but gets shit done. It's visibly clear that they are making the series unique, but just as good as they kept the foreshadowing and plot progression the same so far. I wonder if the three sisters, specifically the one who chi-blocked primarily, has any sort of ancestral significance with the equalists. Sokka became a master swordsman a little over half way into the series, wonder what heritage he left if any. Lot of questions for a series so new, but I just CANNOT WAIT.

I'll watch it with you turts, add me :)

On that note, are we ever going to learn more about the White Lotus? It seems like they stepped out of the shadows at the end of TLA.

Place bets that Amon will take away Korra's powers in the last Air chapter episode, then we will see the unfolding of all the bending books that Aang had to go through, once more.

Basically, their's four different bending abilities in TLA - Water, fire, earth and air. Only the avatar can possess them all, and afaik there's only one avatar in a generation. The avatar is supposed to keep balance and world peace, however Avatar Aang (nine year old) was frozen in a glacier with his flying pet Oppa. The world didn't have the avatar for 100 years (he was frozen), and the fire benders took over hitler style. Well, two kids find him and he sets out on a journey to master and learn all of the bending forms so he can fight the fire lord Ozah or whatever his name was. AFAIK that's where the show ended.

Korra is placed sometime in the future after Aang has died and Korra is the new avatar. Pretty much the same premise from what I can tell. It really is a great show.

You would but you're gonna miss a joke or reference here and there. I suggest you watch TLA first.

I'm up to date with the series and I'm loving it so far.
Also, I thought the animation quality was much better than the original series.
(Look at the facial expressions in the first episode.)
