I was thinking lately about how random the pistol spread is and I want to get the opinion of the community. Do you guys think that the pistol should have a static spread? I think that the pistol should have a smaller (much, much smaller) version of the heavy cone of fire. If it hit the same exact spot every time I can foresee issues. Having pinpoint accuracy from any distance would be broken for middle and such. But I think that if all the shots would fall inside the boundaries of a small circle (such that you would have to hit the very center of the model to hit every single shot), it wouldn't be as devastating from long range but would still serve the purpose of consistency. I know there are a few players who are really good with pistol, but I still the weapon deserves a more skill-based registry pattern.
