what can we do to change the definition of dead

What would your definition be?

two consecutive ffl and give teams an option to set themselves as dead

is this with the 4 non-consecutive ffls or a completely new rule?
Personally, I think when the rule is implemented there has to be 100% certainty that that team is dead. I'm sure situations has come up where one team was just fucked and could not play their matches (missing players, exams, holiday) so in that respect I feel that your idea is a bit too quick on the trigger.

The reason we can't have the manual forfeit is because once that happens you no longer get scheduled. So now we have a leader rage quitting saying fuck you if I can't play you can't play either. I'm sure you can understand why that would be a horrible idea.

I've always been a chocolate kind of guy but if possible, YOU GO FOR THE FUCKING TWIST.

There's just no question.

2 consec ffl or 4 ffl, whichever comes first. Include an ability to "opt out" of the 2 consecutive by notifying an admin before it kicks in. More work for admins but as a result better customer service, and fuck we pay for it so I'm not real concerned about adding more possible http://i.imgur.com/yoscW.gif.

For manual dead, add in a "vote" system, 4 (2/3) players needed to call a team dead.

here's my question

why do the admins exclusively pick the playoff maps in the first place

how about, if you know there will be a certain number of maps from the regular pool in playoffs, you have a vote to figure out which 5-6 out of the 8 it will be- maybe even a vote that's only up to playoff-bound teams

obviously stuff like the order of maps/what goes in the final might still need to be up to admin discretion, but it still seems to make a lot more sense that way

I'm guessing that process wouldn't make it in and that if it did it would be instead of warmfront and not snakewater

hell the real best system is one of elims and picks for each playoff match but I'm assuming that's too unrealistic

So now you votes for opt out? Is it 2/3? Because now I have hundreds of teams with this condition and I'm trying to juggle all the numbers getting votes from all these teams trying to figure out who wants to stay alive. Nope.

For the manual dead thing, creating a system is probably not an option.

Wow. This is a brilliant idea that I have not thought of/ discussed. Will implement immediately.

Thank you mustardoverlord. Thank you.

I can't tell if that's really thick sarcasm, or if I should start packing my bags and playing GG2 comp again.

whole thing can be automated, only admin intervention would be to flag a team as skipping the 2 consecutive autodead (why would you have a vote on the opt out).

For the manual dead thing, creating a system is probably not an option.

I can only understand this on grounds of "the esea website is such shit that trying to change or update it is more work than replacing the whole thing and lpkane is too much of a satan jew to do that"

sarcastically pointing out that my idea is not particularly original doesn't answer my question, which is "WHY NOT THIS!?"

aka either explain how the current system is actually better (SPOILERS: it isn't), or just do what we both know you will and say that you don't have the authority to change it because cs uses it too

Invite lan will probably have a new never before seen format. I think you'll like it. It's pretty cool
