Hi,

I've had a xai for quite a while now. In terms of feel, it is the best mouse I have ever used. However - I feel quite the opposite when I look back at it in terms of its performance. I remember reading somewhere something about the "sensor being so sensitive" and, I'll try to paraphrase "Clean gamers should have no problem with the sensitivity of the sensor blah blah blah excuses" (this was with a BRAND NEW xai and a BRAND NEW mousepad, and I had just cleant my room before) and noticed the mouse "spazzing out" while trying to play osu (and any game for that matter).

TL;DR - is there a mouse that is the xai that doesnt SUCK? I've heard WMO/IME are pretty good alternatives, though I like the option of changing my dpi/cpi [whatever it's called] because of games that you can't change sensitivity. Money doesn't concern, if I have to spend $10 or even $70 or something to get a really solid mouse, that's what I want.

P.S. pls dont tell my sponsors I didn't say very nice words about their mouse.

Can you comment on it a bit? It definitely looks similar in shape to the Xai (well it IS ambidextrous, after all). A thing I have hated with a lot of mice I've used in the past is the... slippery(?) texture that they have had. The xai hasn't had that for me, however.

If it doesn't have that slippery feel, then that sounds good to me.

Used the very first one. Was a good mouse, though the slippery feel of it got to me. Has it changed in the latest revision?

buy an abyssus and sand it

abyssus or zowie am are both ambidexterous and have adjustable dpi

zowie am is also p much a skinnier xai

i fucking hate the shape of DA
been using steelseries kana for a week or so and its a very good choice if your hand isnt too big
by the way if you want to get it buy the steelseries MS glides ,because the default glides are pretty much fucked ( u can also put your kana serial on the website and u will get free glides ,but u will need to wait)

CM Storm Inferno, best mouse I've ever bought. Super comfortable, tons of features and buttons, DPI scaling, profiles, and absolutely 0 accel.

Get the wmo, best mouse i've ever used. cheap as hell too.

Sensei appears to have that slippery feel that I dislike - hence why I haven't requested one from sponsors yet.

What I want is pretty picky compared to most.

Shape -> texture -> performance -> look

All are pretty important (I like a pretty simple looking mouse), but I guess that's the order. It doesn't need to have infinity dpi/cpi - just needs to work properly (though a dpi option is really nice to have as stated in the OP)

Then get the sensei raw edition. You can get glossy or rubberized. And it's cheaper. Only issue is cpi stepping is in increments of 90. I also have owned a sensei for a long time and I haven't had issues with it slipping out of my hands.

Mind you - the sensei (and just any of the new steelseries mice) seem to have that annoying sensor and will probably once again annoy me to no end.

EDIT: This is of course excluding very recent mice because whoever made it was late or lazy. If you want a SS mouse, I don't have any advice to give, the other people here are more knowledgeable.
Avoid secondhand IMOs unless you can verify for CERTAIN that they're 1.1s. I have a 2.# one and its malfunction speed was like eight inches per second or something absurdly bad.

The G400 is not ambidextrous.

Ambidextrous mice make fingertip grips heaven. It's taking me a week to adapt to a deathadder just because it's a bit weird for a fingertip grip.

Sensei is the shittiest mouse I've ever purchased, the sensor blows.

Don't buy it.

I use http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Xornet-Gaming-SGM-2001-BLON1/dp/B005TEPB74 with a fingertip grip, and I love it. Used to switch mice every couple weeks, been on this one for a few months now I think. Has very nice rubber grips on the side also.

Death Adder.

My only criticism is that the mousewheel isn't terribly durable and becomes real loose and screwy over time. This is important to me as I use my mousewheel in-game, so I just started avoiding rampant use of it in normal browsing. I did have to get a new DA though and the old one is now a backup... and I do still worry about how long I can make the mousewheel on the current one last before it gets sloppy and non-clicky and occasionally scrolling the opposite direction. I wish they used way heavier springs and stuff to make the most durable mousewheel possible. My understanding is that this is a weak spot of sorts of most mice, though.

i've had my death adder for over 2 years, never had any of these problems at all. do you stick it up your ass or what

doesn't the deathadder 3.5G black have bad build quality?
The original deathadder has a superb quality I know.

I hear mixed feelings abotu the DA. Some people say the older ones were better, and some say that the back one is the best. wtf
