Breaking Bad season 5 (final season) starts July 15th. The end of that will overlap with the start of the new season of Dexter, which will overlap with The Walking Dead. Woo!

Never watched Breaking Bad nor do I watch TV anymore (unless time permits). The only people I hear talk about Breaking Bad are gamers/geeks.

It's too intense/intelligent for normal people. Breaking Bad is a show you make time for.

breaking bad is one of the "big 4" of television shows in the last little while that require more investment but are brilliant

the wire, the sopranos, mad men, and breaking bad

and I'd say its prolly the 2nd best of those 4

I would never put BrBa or madmen on the same level as the wire or the sopranos. Not by a long shot.

If this is your opinion you must have started watching tv like a month ago

ive never watched the wire, but i would EASILY rank breaking bad above the sopranos. I watched EVERY single episode of the sopranos on premiere night, i never once missed an episode during the entire life of the show. It used to be a great show, but some of the later seasons were really kinda bad, especially the last season where it felt like they were just doing shit so they could wrap up the show. Oh yeah, and that fucking ending... fuck that. I still like the sopranos, and overall it was a good show, maybe in my top 10, but Breaking Bad is way better. Bryan Cranston is fucking phenomenal, and the show has never felt like they were just running a few filler episodes to take up time. Great plot (and very edgy for basic cable), great acting, suspenseful... easily one of the best shows to come along in a very long time.

as for dexter, season 4 was easily the best with John Lithgow as the trinity killer. Personally I really liked every season, but felt that season 3 was the weakest. Some people said 5 and 6 were weak, but i really felt that they were damn good. Personal opinion i guess.

the ending wasnt a cheap copout, it was a subtle way at showing tony die. there was a pattern of maedow scene -> store door ring -> first person view of tony looking at who enters the door. when meadow walks in the first person view is instant black because tony got shot in the back of the head. from his first person perspective, there's no bulletsound because bullets travel faster than the speed of sound.

it's unfortunate that every retard idiot director uses the soprano's ending as their inspiration to have a makes-no-sense nonending to their shows and movies.

nope.

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/television/david-chase-reveals-truth-behind-sopranos-ending-article-1.231236

it was just a cheap copout. he didnt know how to end the series... kill tony, or let him live. He ended it like that so the viewer could "make up their own mind" about Tonys fate. I was always on the side that tony didnt die. he saw several shady people walk in, and one goes to the bathroom but you never see him come out, so there is no real indication that he was just a hitman or anything. I personally felt that scene was just showing that tony is always keeping his eyes open, feeling like anyone could be there to kill him. Cheap copout ending. I wouldnt have cared what happened one way or the other, but after so many fucking years i would have actually liked an ending.
