Grillz started school again

Chompa broke his computer somehow
38 started going outside
And I focused on school

Gratz to LG and Gatsby for the pickup. LG was a great sponsor while we were together. Best of luck to you guys.

My keyboard was so dirty it broke my whole computer.

Glad to see gatsby get a solid team to sponsor, he's been nothing but a great sponsor and a cool guy to me for the last 3 seasons. Treat him well guys.

Congrats to LG's new team, wonder if they can get some sexy shirts in time for the LAN?

good riddance to bad rubbish.

I didn't disagree with Quantic (the sponsor's) actions last season (I was told in private so I don't feel comfortable elaborating too much on specifics) but I was severely disappointed in Quantic's lack of tangible support for the team and the TF2 community.

Quantic is a really big name across many eSports communities (DOTA2, LoL, SC2), and it's really a let down that they never made any effort to cross-promote the team or TF2.

I think all the times I tweeted about @QuanticGaming I only got acknowledged once, a RT about Tyrone streaming, 3 hours after Ty finished... If they had re-tweeted cast notifications to their 9.5k followers, it would have been a big boost to their team and the community as a whole...

Someone holler at Rep for me. Wanted to get him on an eXtravision. It'll have to wait for ~ a month, but would be fun to have him on.

Quantic were scumbags, and clearly didn't take the TF2 arm of their organization very seriously.

Glad you guys finally have some stable support now after eMg.

Sadly TF2 lack of money, ESEA Invite prize is a joke, CEVO too. That move wasn't a suprise. Sponsors dont have good business in this game. BTW i love this game but bleh just for fun.

Nice - congratulations eMg/quantic/LG. Hopefully your new sponsors are what you need and continue to support you in the future.

I've always been curious to the economics of TF2 sponsorships. How do they work? Like, what benefits (economically) do folks see sponsors receiving? Sending 6 people to a LAN seems pretty expensive, at least 5-6K I would think with airfare, food, lodging. UGC has been exploring sponsorships for a while now and it seems hard to justify a sponsor spending money on TF2 when a well known SC2 player gets more viewers on their steam in one night than we have in our entire 6,000+ player league. What do other folks think?

It's kind of cyclic. Money doesn't get put into TF2 because there aren't enough viewers, and there aren't viewers because there aren't enough big money tournaments.

There are obviously other factors too.
