So after lunch at a BBQ place near my university, I went back to work to start purifying a reaction I started yesterday. After a while of working on this, I notice that my eyes begin to sting. I keep working for another few minutes but by now the pain in my eyes is unbearable. After washing my eyes with copious amounts of water, I figure that the compound I made or one of the impurites is a lachrymator (tear gas type compound). My eyes have been burning for several hours now.

When I get home and turn on my pc, I hear a strange sound coming from my case. After turning the power off to investigate, I hear a popping sound followed by sizzling. My closed-loop water cooler leaked all over my graphics card.

Great day so far.

If you need a new videocard i can send you my old x1950 pro for free. Not the best card but runs tf2 at over 200fps with dx9 frames config. I also have a spare 8800 ultra but the cooler is a bit rigged (holes drilled in it and extra fans mounted on it to lower temps)

makes me sad when people have old video cards laying around that theyre willing to give away for free and they crush the one im currently using.
