The whole "let go of crouch" part of it always messes me up. I'm so used to just holding it in for the entire jump the moment I press it. Can you ctap with only the initial tap on crouch? Or do you need to do some crazy combo where you tap, jump, then hold crouch like normal? |

I'm still not clear on the exact procedure. Is it tap crouch, jump, shoot ground? Or tap crouch, jump + crouch, shoot ground? or does it matter? |

Thanks for the help! I was always under the impression that you had to press crouch, then jump, then crouch again (like a normal jump but with a crouch beforehand). I feel like not having to do the second crouch will make this a lot more convenient. Running newbie mixes, please message me to coach. |

@ #14 I had it down to ~99.9843% of the time by implementing it in everything after about a month. mge, dm, bball, pugs. i'd say like 30-50 ingame hours of not focusing on it too much. just keep at it. |

Damn, now there's gonna be less soldiers i have a 1up on when it comes to jumping. Also, idk if its mentioned in the video cause i havent watched it yet, but ping largely affects your ability to ctap. If you're practicing on a local server then use net_fakelag 10/20/30/40 to simulate ping. Last edited: Sat, 16 Jun 2012, 12:57am by Drew |
