i honestly think you should just refund everyone's money as of now, let this thread die (stop trying to throw promotions for your servers lack of functionality), and maybe..maybe come back when you have a stable AND complete product to offer.

You honestly thought that because you honestly didn't investigate or even consider anything I have been saying. Thanks for your honest opinion though :)

Could you please tell me, even if it's just speculation, why your servers were "dos attacked"?

I'm positive it was by another company, who I have had bad treads with in the past. Seems as if they were either mad, sad, jealous, irritated, or basically any other emotion I can list. They were set off by my Company obviously, I'm guessing simply because we would become unofficial "competition", and with prices that I am listing, it's hard to beat me price wise.

*When I said company, I mean by a person from a certain company. Not the entire company as that would pose too much threat for THEIR well-being, I'm sure they hired or appointed somebody experienced to anonymously inflict those packets of terror*

I'm not even sure what you are referring to. I'm just guessing my answer to the question about the attack.

I'm going to just say this, Tragic. You probably want to just stop making yourself look like a general denigration ball towards EmberCore. We understand you already have a company running, I'm sure you went through some lower stages than the level you are at now. Stay where you are, I'll work my way up and meet you there sometime. Don't denigrate me any further than the many minuscule ways you have and have tried.

Just stop. Seriously. You ruined your own reputation. I've kept my mouth shut the majority of this thread to see where this was going. And if you haven't read the past 5 pages correctly people already lost interest, think you're consistently lying, making excuses, and the list goes on. You know it's bad when someone tells you saying you should go talk to blight. Let's be honest and face it. You've dug yourself into a pretty deep hole that is going to be hard to get out of. First impressions to the majority of competitive TF2 players and most people in general are something they will always remember. You've done a pretty horrible job with your consistent "Everyone will be up by June 20th", "48 hours delay", and the famous "50% promotion". Blows my mind why anyone would keep tossing money at you (even if its 5 bucks) when you haven't even had your servers up for a 3 days straight. The best part is when people like meb call you out. You just consistently try to avoid it. I can keep going but you've already done enough to yourself. People will probably -frag this but oh well.

I'm not trying to sound mean, but tragic, you and your friends are the only ones who are being dinks about this. Every person who has downfragged or interrogated me is on your friends list. I know you have your company and I know you won't admit it, but you are not happy at all that I am running this. I'm sure everybody can tell because you are watching this thread like a hawk.

If you want your own reputation to stay clean, I'd stop looking like a troll in here on behalf of your company that you hold close to you, just like I hold this.

If you have nothing to do rather than -frag all of my posts, you probably should talk either. Until you can have an actual response generate in your head that isn't aimed to denigrate, please hold back. I'd like to had this be an actual thread, not a hot headed baby crying contest.

people please just learn how to run a VPS, it's easy...

http://stevenbenner.com/2010/11/how-to-set-up-a-team-fortress-2-dedicated-server-on-ubuntu/

http://www.lowendbox.com/

just look at ones with 1 GB of RAM and read the comments to see if it's a good and reliable provider

Hehe, that's what most companies do haha. Saves money and puts out perfect quality. That's why $24.00 for 24 slots on TF2 is just not even close to worth it, because you never know what type of equipment your server is running on. I don't care if the Dedicated Server was $10,000 to build, it's not worth 24 a month for a tf2 server.

Probably :P. Too bad you weren't around to help me haha. I've learned everything from years of just running TF2 community servers. Sucks when you get into micro-managing, like a boss. But seriously, it's hard stuff. Worst part is custom-API implementation, mainly TCAdmin into WHMCS so that servers are automatically created when they are purchased. Took me forever. Do you host or do anything of the nature now a days, atmo?

Ahh yeah, ssh is the greatest tool around :). using an SFTP Server is even easier if you get PUTTY with the graphical interface. Basically a file manager but you can right click the files and run them and do everything with ssh but with a graphical interface that is easily customizable.

All EmberCore TF2 Servers now come with the following:

-Fast Download Service - Syncs your files, AND backs them up
-Fast Download Host - You can manage your files that are Synced
-UGC 6v6 Config Files
-UGC HL Config Files
-Soap DM
-MGE Mod (including the mge_training_v7.bsp map)
-Sourcemod/Metamod
-Repair Feature - This allows you to restore your server to the way it was last fully functional without removing any files you worked on

Actual Example of our Fast DL Host (We are purchasing a domain dedicated to fastdl):
http://74.118.192.166/

*We are working on adding the same to all other Source Games*

I've tested my server with some people and it runs pretty good for right now. I ping 35-40 from Ohio. Out of curiosity I did a tracert and there's a hop to DC then back to Pennsylvania. That's something you can't really help though.

I installed mgemod and it is broke. I can not !add or anything. I reset the server config and disabled soap dm. Maybe there is something I am missing?

I had the same problem.
Uninstall MGE/Soap.
Uninstall Sourcemod.
Install Sourcemod.
Install MGE/Soap.

There was a missing file that made the MGE plugin itself not work, but reinstalling took care of it.

You should not be running servers for other people if you don't have a seasoned sysadmin with a decade of experience or an academic degree in security.

This. Also I ping 120 to PA, whereas on nfo servers I ping ~90.

That's odd, if you can get a server that is located in PA on NFO I'd like to join it. I wonder if it's an internet issue or if it's the fact that NFO doesn't host servers in PA like I do. Maybe they do I'm honestly not sure.
