So I decided it's about time to replace my old speed goliathus (small), and it came down to getting either the Puretrak Talent or Razer Goliathus Speed(Large). With both costing about $21 each w/ shipping, which one would you guys suggest?

Forgot to mention that I'm probably not going to pay more than $21 for a mousepad

It loses its glide rather quickly. Still better than other cloth mats I've used. It's a good pad if you can deal with the loss of glide.

I just switched a few days ago from a Rocketfish hard mouse pad to this

http://steelseries.com/us/products/surfaces/steelseries-qck-2

It was $16 here in Canada, so it's probably cheaper in the states.
It plenty big, and I feel like with some more practice I could get better with a soft pad. If you get a chance to, see if you like hard mouse pads though. They are generally more expensive unless you want a smaller one, but I personally really like the feel of them.

It's a good pad if you don't fucking rip pads to shreds in a week from being retarded and doing MGE

I recently bought a steelseries qck heavy and I couldn't be happier. It has a huge surface area (more than 4 standard sized mousepads) and it's pretty thick.

xtrac ripper

Cheap pad, great quality, I've been using one for two years now and it still rocks.

I've used a goliathus speed and the ripper. I'm currently using a zowie g tf spawn and it's my favorite mousepad I've ever used by far.

I fucking loved my qck+...until it wore down. They're cheap and great. If you can deal with the eventual wear, there's no reason not to own it unless you go to lans frequently.

Here is my 1337 setup.

I took an old mouse pad (the kind that is like mostly rubber bottom). Flipped it over, covered it in felt, and duct taped it to my desk. I'm pleased with it. And it cost 0$ because I had all of that crap laying around.

I did actually wear down the previous hard mousepad I was using prior.
