We don't have a thread on this yet for whatever reason.

Greece is getting fucked currently, that shot by Khedira is still impressing me.

Also in other news, in the last 1.3k minutes of play-time the German team has never been trailing.

Reus's was even better, pretty dominating game by the germs.

Been rooting for England, hope Rooney can carry them into the finals against Ronaldo.

Reus' shot was fantastic as well, I'm always appreciative of a volley that can keep the shot on goal. I was more than happy to see Klose put one in the net as well.

When Greece responded making it 1-1, I was hoping it wasn't gunna be a repeate of that euro they won a while back. The best goal in the whole tournament so far was welbeck's goal for england when he spun around and tapped it into the back of the net with his heal.

I want to see Italy take it, cause I am Italian and because Pirlo can destroy anyone with his free kicks. GO ITALIA!!!!!!

Because Italy has a killer offense this year as a pose to all the other years they have played a more defensive game. Also their coach doesn't take any bullshit like that piece of shit trappatoni. Balotelli is gunna go huge in these eliminations you watch and see. And divegrass is an art form respect it :p

I hope I die before I see Italy win another tournament. They don't even play football, they just hit other people's legs and score when all 11 of the enemy team are on the ground

Multiple balls.
Full contact.
Smaller field.

Not gonna touch Germany, been following the national team since I was like 8 and I've never seen such a dynamic team. No longer the old 'German Machine', so many players give this one flair. Wish Ballack was on the pitch instead of in the studio. =/

Pick one.

The only thing Ballack did well was spending half of the game upfront where he scored a lot of goals.
Massively overrated and hyped player during a time where Germany did not have many good outfield players.
Except for Klose whose ability to make his team so much better (+ scoring a lot of goals) has never been appreciated as much as it should have.

You pick one!

I do agree on you with Klose, I'd love for him to set the record this cup. If Joachim Löw is going to continue to be the skipper, we may not see him for any longer after this Euro. IMO as long as he keeps getting those headers, he should be a staple.. even off the bench.

On that note though, Löw indefinitely should get coach of the tournament so far for his insane planning/risk/reward with subs. Hard to base too much off a match against Greece though.

How can you say Rooney is shit? Despite being the least fit and prepared, he was close to their best player, along with an okay showing from some of their defense and Hart. Watch the match again. A few missed opportunities sure, but look at the service he gets and the balls, absolutely atrocious. He was doing all the creating. Hodgson's tactics are where the problems lie. Long balls all day.

Anyway, a predictable final most likely, Germany versus Spain. If Ronaldo can continue playing the best he ever has internationally, then this could change. Germany is definitely exciting, all superstar players that haven't peaked yet is frightening, much like Spain a few years ago.

Pretty easy to say Rooney was shit...

If he was doing all the creating, he really didn't create much. Sure service and tactics has an impact on how much a Striker actually gets to handle the ball but a world class striker needs to make an impact even if he only gets the ball 3 times. Rooney had a bicycle kick he skyed and couldn't get to the 3 headers that were sent right too him.

It's easy to get on rooney because everyone expected him place the team on his back.

Unfortunately when you're staring at 30% possession you have problems that stem far beyond the strikers. The English mid-field was atrocious and ranga is right to say that the balls he was getting were absolutely terrible. Every time England got a reset the mid-field would miss a trap, give a hospital pass, pass long, or fail to even find playable positioning. You really can't fault a guy for the loss when the majority of his time playing was spent looking backwards at his mid-field fucking up yet again.

What are you talking about? this is how england has always played soccer lol, most of their plays revolve around long passes and air balls, in my opinion they should have started Carroll and kept Welbeck on and got washed up rooney off.

When it comes to soccer I know my shit. I used to play on the Under 17 Team for my province. Team Ontario. Got selected in a process of over 5 try outs of over 500 players who got invited to the try outs from around Ontario. I played right mid field, took care of the right flank and bombing shots in for the strikers.

Sit the fuck down.

that's cool and all, but you still don't know what you're talking about. they have not always played like that, under capello there was a phase they attempted to replicate spain's tika-tika style, under sven they built play from the back and attacked the flank while looking to set up their midfielders for that crucial ball. the fact that you think a footballing nation such as england has always played a single style is ridiculous.

sure, its easy for you to say 'oh gosh they shouldve started carroll because since they didnt they lost'. but the fact that you think he should have played instead of 'washed up' rooney in retrospect, eliminates the iota of credibility you had. rooney and welbeck have a fantastic partnership in man utd, carroll has not proved himself domestically nor internationally, let alone let him lead the attacking line with another inexperienced striker.
