Honestly, if DC would have let Superman stay dead it would have been really good. Superman is pretty much the most boring superhero in the universe, an all this managed to do was make other heroes become more boring. |

I really haven't read much modern superman (I'm very here or there as far as the last 10 or so years of comics have been actually), so I'm sorry for not being up to date, but to elaborate I never really liked Superman as a teenager really getting into comics because not only does his series (from what I read/saw of it) rarely tackle or discuss real issues/problems, but the way his strengths/weaknesses are setup there really isn't any sense of threat to him 99.9% of the time. I really enjoy Batman, X-Men, and Spider-man a lot more than him, I feel like they are all much more engaging to me. I might check a couple of those out on your recommendation though! I have heard of Red Son before, just never had the drive to check it out. |
