honestly the only thing a head admin should be doing is making sure the channel isn't exploding (bot breaking, etc) and checking up on his admins to make sure no ones abusing ze power. aristotle appartently CANT do technical shit, and the other admins all seem to be fine (from what ive seen) and he's the only problem admin...

just give the fucking channel to fog/pingu. if this doesn't happen in the next week i got $30 (more after the new job starts) towards some tragic servers for a new pug channel ONLY if fog/pingu/cinq are in charge.

Bannable offenses: If you refuse to play your class, if you refuse to comm, if you're trolling/harrassing other members, and if you're cheating.

rules about disrespecting admins are ok but there has to be some notion of proportionality

there's a difference between being permabanned for changing your name to "impeach aristotle 2012" and being banned for a few days for like harassing an admin every 10 seconds with messages about how gay they are

and considering it was all as a reaction to a misinterpretation of rules written by the admin in question, it was not a big deal in comparison to the admin's mistake

This is not what happened, considering I was the one setting up and running the bot. The bot crashed after it took forever to get enough people to add and everyone in the channel was complaining about the bot so we took it down and put pingu's back up. After this I messaged you about how we still want to use your bot and you told me that you would perfect some things and we agreed to give it another run the following weekend. The weekend came and you never came online because of work or something so we never got to test it, and that's about where we left off. Look, I like Aris, I have been around him for quite awhile over the years, but even I think he needs to really relax a bit about his banning/mood swings/nepotism. I also don't think that ANY of the pug channels should have any "head admin" that does not work on the bot. The reason that people are working on the bot is simple, they are trying to help out the community. Does anyone actually think pingu/fog/I forgot the first, spends countless hours working on it for nothing?

what exactly has this thread achieved so far? serious question, i don't idle in the channel anymore so I miss out on what happens in there.

It's generated conversation about hard/taboo subjects that is difficult to achieve normally. People are organizing ideas that never get talked about because bans fly before any real conversation can be had. People are stepping up to offer money for servers in another channel if the need arises. And Fog is actually participating in the discussion because he cares what the community has to say.

Well, if it helps I'm trying to get back my old OP status in the new TF2 pug and I don't think that anyone ever said I wasn't fair about anything that I did. Anyways, use the new channel sometimes even if at first it's not the best competition, you should join up and help out those that are willing to learn from your experience. It hasn't started yet, but I think it could be very helpful again to the community.
