so i've been using chris' maxframes lately paired with nvidia inspector and i absolutely love it, easy 120fps no matter what, simple visuals, etc. but i've been noticing a weird issue.

i disable ragdolls, sprays, and gibs in the config, but when i exec upon launch, only the graphics aspect of my config is applied, and i have to re-exec gfx.cfg for it to apply the rag/spray/gib disabling.

adding a second "exec gfx" at the end of my autoexec would *probably* be an ok workaround, but does anyone have any idea why this could be happening?

this is the config in question, let me know if i should attach anything else.

make sure -autoconfig isn't in your launch options

If you are planing to play in the ESEA league this upcoming season, you should disable nvidia inspector since that tool is no longer allowed while playing on any ESEA servers.

lets you set LOD bias and that sort of thing, you can change the graphics to look even worse than a maxframes config

adding a second "exec gfx" line in autoexec.cfg made it work, still wonder why it wasn't though...

did you use tf2mate or something else to make your configs?

If so there are sometime duplicate settings in "settings.cfg" or other cfgs

not sure who down fraged me, but if you have to re-exec your gfx after exec-ing something else, then you obviously have the cvars doubled in your config somewhere.

Setting your LOD bias as high as it goes makes it look like quake almost.

Pretty huge performance boost. It's banned because in let you see through smoke grenades in CSS so ESEA banned it across the board. Although I've heard it makes stickies more visible too, which I haven't noticed honestly.

the only arguments i've seen against it ONLY pertain to cs and not tf2, seeing through smoke and that. kinda dumb that it's an all-encompassing ban.
