DogFishHead does a good pumpkin beer. Some great styles of beers are blondes, dubbel, pale, white, IPA and many other styles. One of my favorites is a flemish ale or red ale. Good beer companies to buy from, DogFishHead, Magic Hat, Duvel, Asahi, Sapporo, Ichiban, Flying Fish, Walt Wit, Yuengling. Many local micro bewries are great as well and international beers are always great to try usually from Belgium, Germany, some other European Beers. Some different types of styles for a different type of taste are like bananna bread beer, Banana beer which is gluten free, aged oak cast beer, Rasberry, honey or cherry wheat beers. Oh and if you are ever in philadelphia try Monk's Cafe own brew called Monk's Flemish sour ale, it's fantastic. When I'm drinking cheap I just do the Yuengling light or premium, or just Miller lite. |

Panda and Aristotle have good taste. I'd recommend Saranac Octoberfest if you can find it. I've never had a pumpkin beer I can finish... unless I was already hammered. And even then I didn't enjoy it. so? EWWV wrote: pretty fucking good post work, you are now a 10/10 poster in my book tbh. |

Anything from New Belgium is usually a safe bet. Don't know if they have a pumpkin, but they do a lot of seasonal stuff so I wouldn't be surprised. |

A good guideline for beer, is to look for local breweries.. It can be difficult, depending on where you live.. but local stuff, and different micro-brewery beers are ALWAYS tastier than the big label shit.. and more often than not, it's cheaper too. |

dogfish head punkin ale, southern tier imperial pumpking ale, weyerbaucher pumpkin ale 3 of the best right there as far as really hoppy ipa's (which are my favorite by far) i recommend lagunitas ipa's, bear republic racer 5 is really good too some other good companies are founders, six point, harpoon, duvel, delirium, flying dog, goose island, smutty nose, great divide, seirra nevada, yards etc best way to come across new craft beers just go to a really good local pub and ask what they recommend depending on what you like whether it be ipa's, stouts, imperial stouts, ales, lagers etc Last edited: Fri, 21 Oct 2011, 01:17am by defy

http://www.mcmenamins.com/376-mcmenamins-breweries-standard-ales Terminator and Hammerhead are my favorite. They are hard to get, but if you know someone in that area maybe they can hook you up. At the very least, try them if you are ever in the Oregon/Washington area. I was there. |
