I spent more like 17 including my own ticket. 16 for the teams. It's quite close to being paid back so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

As I understand it, the goal is to promote these vids to as wide an audience as possible. The TF2 community by and large will already be aware of this through the normal channels (although it hasn't hit the teamfortress.com news section yet) so replacing someone like a Bethesda dev with STAR or Jerma would probably not be a net benefit to the total views. I think any of the TF2 youtubers would be fun to see as well, though maybe in a different show match?

Legit concern. I don't remember the thread, but wasn't there some talk about this in the past month? If so, it'd probably be good to respond to that comment.

He probably keeps finding people to pay him. I only noticed that UGC forum thread today because I decided to check that forum out for the first time in like a year. The thread was actually started 4 or 5 days ago, so I'm sure he got a few inquiries. Why fix what ain't broke?

From a spectator point of view it seems like a very simple game with an easily understandable objective. A lot of decently watched meatspace sports fall into that category, so who knows?

It's not about either of those things. The entire thread is really just "if you want your game casted by me, here's the minimum requirement."
