As much as I would love to set up djc, cbear, and Sigma in the casting booth every night, I can't. Those guys have too many things going on to be doing this all the time. Most invite matches don't start till 11:30 EST, which massively cuts down on the availability of casters due to work schedules.
It would be awesome if high level players wanted to help us cast. If they're interested, have them talk to eXtine. However, the casts would have to remain PG. If TF2 is going to succeed as an esport, sponsors need to feel comfortable advertising their product on our channel. Allowing casters to say "What the ******* **** is Mackey doing? HOLY ******* ****, THAT ACTUALLY ******* WORKED? ******** **** YOU MACKEY, YOU CRAZY MOTHER******!" would be counterproductive.
All that being said, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to manage eXtv's schedule. I just kind of jumped into this job because no one else was doing it and casts just weren't happening. Threads like this are actually a huge help to me, so thank you all for the feedback!
