the grammar on that article is horrifying.

does anyone else have to fight the urge to properly capitalize things when they talk about someone's grammar or spelling?

jake don't play tf2lobby. play #tf2mix on IRC. you can use www.atf2.org and type /j #tf2mix and get into one. just make sure you install mumble first. you'll find that the quality of the PUGs is way better.

apparently he wants to get into comp and asked the right guy.

"The best way to start working your way up is to play in some lobby matches at tf2lobby.com Its still pub players but they have to join up and its pretty much all very well done and is DEFINATELY how tf2 should be played.

Teams sometimes play in lobby matches to practice and its a good place to get noticed, have fun, and work as a team to win."

I'm a Warriors fan... that said I will enjoy watching 16 other teams make playoffs like always. :(

The Lakers have Gasol, Howard, Kobe, and Nash. I will be very surprised if they don't start gaining momentum mid-late regular season when they work out all the kinks and ride that all the way through the playoffs to the finals.

awesome people.. the hats speak for themselves, but when they don't, max and techno do plenty of talking. max is a very good maincaller when he's playing that role, and has a lot of experience in the game. techno is a good scout who is always looking for ways to get better. they should be a good core for a good team.

I cut it out because I wasn't responding to that. I was responding to "they use stickies because they can't hit pipes or they want to turtle and spam," which isn't a valid point as much as it is your own personal notion of what demos do in DM.

I was also responding to you saying that DM is "a mod that is only about killing shit." it's a mod that's based around practicing your class and/or weapons that you need practice on. you're clearly misusing the mod if you think it's only about "killing shit."

Possibly. Ametrine holds the record for most in a single post, but this entire thread probably passes that amount.

What did he post?

When demos use stickies in DM it's either because they can't hit 2 pipes to save their lives or they just want to turtle on one side of the map spam stickies and run away whenever someone breathes in their direction. It's stupid as hell.

The demo's role in game is area denial and damage output, not primarily killing anything. which is really annoying in a mod that's only about killing shit.

Sorry but that's BS. The mod is about practicing the weapons you'll be using in games, so you're a fool if you use pipes all the time in DM, or think anyone else should. I know for me, when I worried about being ostracized and stuck to pipes in DM, it made me favor pipes too much in a real game. when i would DM with stickies, I would try and imagine that I need to defend myself from threats that are closest to me, in whatever way is necessary. maybe i put one sticky on the ground, and then switch to pipes, or maybe i'm a faggot and unload a clip of stickies on you.. whatever i might actually do in game in that DM-oriented situation.

bottom line is if you have a problem with stickies in DM, you have a problem with what you think DM is good for. and if anyone wants to argue "it's stickies they're so easy why even practice them?" then they should get off soldier or stop using the stock RL because that shit is easy mode.

if you're a grammar nazi don't read his post history hahaha

honestly though you should proofread posts if you're trying to promote casting. I know that i read your run-on sentence and visualize you casting that way and i'm already turned off to the idea of tuning in. i'm not saying this in a snooty way, but just giving you advice. i'm sure you're great on a mic :)
